The Ban Phuc project is currently under care and maintenance pending resolution of certain fiscal issues with the government however the Company is confident that these will be resolved and is further encouraged by the strengthening metal prices.

 

 

The company is not currently recruiting however it is anticipated that if the prices maintain the current trend for the next few months a decision to recommence construction and development could be made in the 4th quarter of 2009. Once the decision is made, the operating company Ban Phuc Nickel Mines will be seeking to recruit experienced professionals and operators for the following roles:

Aug 6, 2010 - Asian Mineral Resources: 50% increase to Ban Phuc nickel reserves
Asian Mineral Resources announced today an increase in the massive sulphide Ni/Cu reserves at its Ban Phuc project in north western Vietnam. The 36,000t of nickel estimated to be contained in the proven and probable reserves is an increase of 12,000t Ni (+50%) over previously reported estimates. Jul 22, 2010 - Asian Mineral Resources: 55% increase in Ban Phuc disseminated resources
Asian Mineral Resources announced today an increase in the disseminated sulphide resources at its Ban Phuc nickel-copper project in north western Vietnam.
